Insane Clown Posse
This beef with Eminem and the Insane Clown Posse (ICP), goes way back to 1995.
ICP consists of two people, Violent J (Joseph Bruce), and Shaggy 2 Dope (Joseph
Ulster). Everything started in 1995, when Eminem was handing out flyers for a
party he was playing at. The flyer apparently said "Appearance from ICP...maybe".
Unfortunately, Violent J wasn't too happy about this and he told Eminem to "fuck
off" and that he wouldn't play at his party. All this bull shit
apparently hurt Eminem's pride, and so he started to diss ICP. He told people
that he threw ICP out of a club in Detroit and he told a close friend that ICP
were pussies for not responding. The club incident is true though, Eminem and
D-12 chased ICP out of a club and then shot ICP's van with a paintball gun. This
is briefly mentioned in "Nothing But A Bitch Thang" when ICP denies it: "you
ain't never chased us out of no club bitch... only club you ever chased anybody
out of was a gay bar bitch." Get the diss from the Emienm Diss section.
Eminem has dissed ICP on many tracks before. For example, on "Get U Mad",
he says "dress up like ICP and have them come see you perform live" and on
"Drastic Measures" he says, "ICP are over rated and hated because of their false
identities".
Within the past few years, ICP has recruited Detroit rap group Twiztid to
the fold and this Detroit crew released their first diss towards Slim with the
infamous "Slim Anus" song that can be found in the Eminem Diss section.
The response from Eminem hit much harder than either of the two disses produced
by ICP and Twizted. Eminem countered with two disses of his own on the Marshall
Mathers LP. Track 12 of the MM LP features a skit where ICP is giving Ken Kaniff
a blow job. Nelly This feud is
relatively fresh. Nelly started it when he appeared on MTV's "Total Request
Live". He sent out a number of disses and seemingly violent comments towards Em,
reiterating his dislike for the Detroit Playa. Nelly said that Eminem was
talking about Nelly behind his back, or so he heard. He then proceeded to say
that Shady better not go on tour in St. Louis, Nelly's hometown, because the St.
Lunatics would make short work of them. He even goes on to say, that he "eats
m&ms". Eminem is yet to lash out. But is shouldn't be too long...
Cage
This beef has been going on ever since 1998 when Eminem released the Slim
Shady EP. Cage has gone on record saying that Eminem has copied his style and
his lyrics. This has been denied by Eminem and in the Slim Shady LP, you can
hear the disses Eminem lays down to Cage in "Role Model:" "Bought Cage's tape
opened it, and dubbed over it." In a song called "Drastic Measures"
Eminem disses Cage as well. "I'm picking up Cage's sister early..., went on
stage and sprayed Cage with agent orange." In the same freestyle Em also says
"Wiped my ass with his page is The Source...". Also, in a freestyle off Tony
Touch's Power Cypha 3 - 50 MC's on CD 05, track 06, Eminem says: I write a rhyme
a day, So it's no wonder how come your whole album is soundin like a bunch of
shit that I would say [Then Em screams "CAGE!!"]. Cage was not prepared
to just take these insults, and began by dissing Eminem in this song called And
So Kiddies... (This can be found in the Eminem Diss section). Cage mentions
"Tired rhyme styles from Detroit, Michigan" referring to Eminem's heavy MTV
rotation. He also insults Eminem's alter ego Slim Shady, calling him Bitch Lady.
He has released a freestyle called "Bitch Lady" too, which is almost impossible
to get your hands on. When asked in an interview with HipHopSite.com how the
rivalry began and where it currently stood, cage said "It started because he is
a bitch ass nigga! Right now it stands with me kicking in his fucking face, real
horror show, I ain't lettin' all the shit he said slide." Cage also rips into Em
on "Illest four letter word." Here are the Em dissing lines: I heard some blonde
bitch Hwalking through New York looking for Cage, I'll stab you in the face, ten
times in the same place.
XXL Magazine This beef may not be very
apparent, but after the release of the Marshall Mathers LP, XXL went ahead and
published an Unauthorized Biography of Marshall Mathers. Eminem started this
beef with the following line on the Marshall Mathers track of the album: "And
then to top it off, I walked to the newsstand to buy this cheap-ass little
magazine with a food stamp skipped to the last page, flipped right fast and what
do I see? A picture of my big white ass Okay, let me give you mother fuckers
some help: uhh, here - DOUBLE XL, DOUBLE XL Now your magazine shouldn't have so
much trouble to sell Ahh fuck it, I'll even buy a couple myself.
Milkbone
This whole hate all started from the one line on the song "Just Don't Give
A Fuck" where Eminem says, "I'm nicer than Pete, but I'm on a search to crush a
Milkbone". He says that this was not meant as a diss towards Milkbone, but a
metaphor of how society treats white rappers. Dr. Dre is reportedly
fending off accusations that he lifted a portion of a song from a group called
Milkbone and used it on a track for Scarface. The Associated Press reports that
Milkbone producer James Gist and Set It Off Records filed a breach-of-contract
lawsuit against Dre (known to some as Andre Young) on Monday in Los Angeles. The
suit reportedly claims that Dre heard a Milkbone track that samples Lalo
Schifrin's "The Human Fly" while he was talking to the group about helping them
with a distribution deal. The suit then claims that when talks broke off between
Dre and the group, Dre used the sample on the song "Game Over" which he produced
for Scarface. Gist and Set It Off reportedly claim their plans to release
Milkbone's song using the same sample had to be dropped, and are seeking $2
million for their troubles.
Everlast One of the newest beefs that
Eminem has dragged himself into involves former House Of Pain member Erik
Schrody aka Whitey Ford. Whitey Ford dissed Shady on record. He said some fucked
up shit. Eminem referred to it on a Farmclub interview. Saying he'll be the next
to get dissed. In one of Eminem's disses towards Everlast, Quitter he
explains how the whole beef began. "...I'ma tell these motherfucking fans the
truth, the reason why you dissed me first and I answered you. You said I passed
you in the lobby and I glanced at you like I ain't noticed you, bitch I had a
show to do. Like I'm supposed to be start struck, come over to you, you better
shut your mouth while you 0 for 2...". Whatever the reason was that kicked off
this beef between the two artists, it sprung into several different songs.
After Everlast was insulted by the disrespect Eminem presented towards him, he
decided to lash out at him. Whitey Ford dissed Shady on record. He said some
fucked up shit.
Eminem was currently on the Anger Management Tour when he was notified of
Everlasts' insult. Obviously pissed off, Eminem decided to hit back at him with
a song called I Remember (which can be found below) that was released on the
B-Side of D-12's Shit On You Single. In this song Em hits far below the belt
with comments on low-points in Everlast's career, his age, and even his heart
troubles.
Everlast did not seem to offended by this song according to his record
label, Tommy Boy Records. A statement issued by the label on behalf of Everlast
said, "He is amused. He thinks that the song is quite funny." However, Whitey
Ford chose to continue the ongoing lyrical battle, answering I Remember with a
diss of his own entitled Whitey's Revenge. Everlast pulls no punches on the
slow-grooving track, using the intro to dedicate the song to Eminems mother. In
the song, Everlast asks "Will the real Slim Shady please act up?" and suggests
both rappers drop their mics and make their battle a physical one. He then goes
on to question Eminems sexuality and to accuse him of being an "Ecstasy junkie."
Obviously Eminem was not about to let Everlast get the last word. Within a
couple of weeks Em had finished a song featuring The Dirty Dozen entitled
Quitter. In this Eminem answers Everlast's suggestion in Whitey's Revenge to
make this battle a physical one, " Fuck you, fat boy, drop the mic, let's
fight...". Christina Aguilera This
rival goes more with "pop music" in general than little Christina Aguilera.
Eminem referenced to Christina on "The Real Slim Shady" depicting her in
explicit sexual detail. It all started when Aguilera had her "What A Girl Wants"
special on MTV. She aired Em's "My Name Is" video, and while it was playing she
but Em on "blast". Going on to air a rumor that Em was married to Kim, which was
true, but still private information at the time. She even goes on to say speak
about domestic violence, and tell girls to get out and avoid those types of
relationships. Which may be good messages, but Em would have rather she didn't
pick the video at all. So Eminem told some rumors he had heard about Christina
Aguilera. In response to these rumours and the insult in 'The Real Slim Shady'
Christina made her own diss towards Eminem called 'Will The Real Slim Shady
Please Shut Up'.
Limp Bizkit
It all started when Eminem had beef
with Everlast, and he(and the rest of D12) was gonna record a diss song called
"Quitter". Limp Bizkit said they wanted to be in it. But when the day they was
gonna record it, Fred Durst called them and said he couldnt be in it. D12 just
did the song without them, and that aint the reason why they dissed Limp Bizkit.
The reason that Eminem recorded the Limp Bizkit diss song, "Girls", is cuz a few
weeks later Limp Bizkit was on TRL. And Dj Lethal was asked 'bout the beef
between Eminem and Everlast(cuz Lethal was in the group "House Of Pain" with
Everlast) and Lethal said that in real life, Everlast was gonna whoop Eminem's
ass. Thats why Eminem recorded the track "Girls".
Royce Da 5'9"
Well its more of a D12 beef, Eminem
isnt involved in it yet. Goto D12world Board for more info, cuz there are heaps
of reasons for this beef.
